I have a chevy truck with electronic fuel injection. I just started having a starting problem that is confusing to me. If I start the car after it has sat for a few hours, it has no problem starting. When I drive it for about 20 minutes, and the engine warms up, it has a real hard time starting. The starter turns, and the engine trys to start, but wont. The only way I can get it started is to pump the gas pedal a bunch of times. A couple months ago, I had the fuel pump replaced, and the injectors cleaned. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be? I have heard of cars having problems starting when cold, but never warm. Thanks for your help

Lately when I get in my car, a 2005 Nissan Sentra, and turn the key I have to keep it turned for a little while longer than I used to until the engine turns over and starts.

It just started recently and it is not the same each time, but I’m just concerned it won’t start sometime when I really need it to.

Also, it seems that if I pump the gas a little when the key is turned it helps is start.

Any ideas what the problem is before I take it in to the shop?

It’s a 99 Mercedes, it is cold here (ohio) and I don’t hear any noise or turnover when I start it. The battery is less than a year old and I’m due for an oil change.

I found out too late that I should have rotated the tires every 4,000 miles to avoid cupping problems, which causes the tires to ride rough and noisy . According to a tire shop I must replace the set of tires to get rid of the noise and rough handling. Someone told me I could get the tires balanced while on the car to fix the problem but I’m not sure about that. Is there any dependable way to get the tire surface smooth again to eliminate the cupping problems?

I was driving on the highway and noticed that my car started making a weird sound kind of like a roaring sound. Then i realized that i had it on brake. I released the brake but my car continued to make the same sound every time i would accelerate in speed mainly higher then 50-60mph. Can you tell me does this sound like a serious problem and if you know what is the problem. My car is a Honda civic year 2003.
